Obituary for Beverly Mae (Stronberg) Kominsky
Beverly Mae (Stronberg) Kominsky, 86, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born in New London, Ct, daughter of the late Carl W. and Mona (Charboneau) Stronberg, she was a longtime Ludlow resident. Beverly worked for many years for the United States Postal Service from where she retired. Upon retirement, she worked part-time for Joanne’s Fabrics, and in her spare time she enjoyed sewing, crafts, and spending time with her many beloved kitties. Beverly was the beloved wife of the late Borlick “Oscar” Francis Kominsky, who predeceased her in 2008; a loving mother to Richard A. Kominsky and wife Lois (Gilman), of Westfield, and Cheryl A. Cormier and husband James, of Ludlow; a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to grandson Allen R. Kominsky of Westfield, and granddaughter Amy Zeo-Pereira, her husband John Pereira III, and their children Jamie Lynn and John Pereira IV, of Enfield, CT; a dear sister to Elva N. Hughes, her husband Richard of Peru, MA, and the late Carl W. Stronberg and Harry E. Stronberg; and also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services for Beverly will be held on Wednesday, January 29th at 11:00am directly in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. There are no calling hours and in lieu of flowers, please make donations in Beverly’s memory to the American Lung Association or Westfield Homeless Cat Project.
