She will always be our guardian angel, our footprint in the sand
Blanche “Doris” (Kartz) Amos, 83, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2011. Born in Palmer, daughter of the late Walter and Blanche (Desmarais) Kartz, she came to Ludlow in 1967 where she was a faithful communicant of Christ the King Church. She graduated from the Comptometer School and worked for many years at Valley Bank and Man Power of Springfield, and then at Prudential Securities from where she retired. Blanche was the beloved wife of 57 years to Fred W. Amos; a loving mother to Fred W. Amos Jr. and wife Susan, of Illinois, Margaret Ann Larkin and husband Michael, of Leominster, Ma., and Barbara Jean Hudson, of Orange County, Ca; a dear sister to the late Grace Fournier and Leona Kleinman; a cherished grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 9; and also leaves several loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services are on Wednesday morning at 8:30am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian burial at 9:30am followed by burial in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 11am. Visiting hours are on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm.
