Obituary for Bronislaw "Brownie" Sajdak

Bronislaw “Brownie” Sajdak, 93, formerly of Wilbraham, passed away peacefully in Florida on February 17, 2025, with his loving family by his side. Brownie was born in Wilbraham to Jan and Wictoryja (Waryjas) Sajdak and was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving his country from 1951-1952 serving in Korea. He pursued his education graduating from American International College in 1967 earning his Bachelor of Arts degree. He had a distinguished career as a Social Studies teacher in the Springfield school system, primarily at Duggan Middle School. Brownie was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and prior to moving to FL, he was a lifelong communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and its senior group, an active member in the Polish American Veterans Club of Wilbraham, and a Westover Galaxy Club member. Brownie was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy C. Sajdak who predeceased him in 2014; a loving father to Richard Sajdak and wife Annmarie of Wolcott CT and Laurie Wojcik and husband Donald of Valrico FL; a devoted grandfather to Alexa Sajdak and fiancé Jace Grant of Charlotte NC and Zachary Sajdak of Wolcott CT; a dear brother to Helen Belanger of Indian Orchard, and the late Leon, Tadeusz, Stanley and Walter Sajdak, Anna Mazeika and Sophie Rys; and also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends both here and in FL. Visiting hours for Brownie will be held on Thursday, February 27th from 5:00-7:00pm at Ludlow Funeral Home. Funeral services are on Friday, February 28th at 10:00am from the funeral home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Immaculate Conception Church followed by burial in MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brownie’s memory to Shriners Hospital for Children or Wounded Warriors
