Obituary for Burton L. Farris
Funeral Services with Military Honors will be Friday, Oct. 24th at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 2:00 pm. There are no visiting hours.
Burton L. Farris, 84, of Springfield passed away peacefully on October 19, 2014. Born in Eastport, ME, he was a United States Marine Corps Veteran proudly serving his country during the Korean Conflict. Burton was also a longtime Springfield resident where he worked at Putnam High School for many years.Â
Burton was the beloved husband of the late Maxine E. (Fisher) Farris; and leaves his 4 children; Robert Farris of Warren, Kenneth Farris, Laura Dean, and Cynthia Farris, all of Springfield, as well as 6 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Veteran’s association of one’s choice.
