Obituary for Carl F. Waldron
Carl F. Waldron, 79, of Springfield, formerly of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ludlow, he lived most of his life there and was a 1949 graduate of Ludlow H.S. before graduating from Springfield Trade School as an electrician. Carl was a decorated United States Army veteran who proudly served his country in the Korean War. He worked for many years at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 7, Springfield, before his retirement. He was also a proud member of the John Boyle O’Reilly Club, American Legion Post 420, E. Spfld; loved gardening, bowling, horseracing, his annual August trips to Saratoga, and was an avid N.Y. Yankee fan. Carl was the beloved former husband of Joan (Largay) Waldron; a loving father to Gary Waldron, Kathleen Breault and her husband Michael, all of Feeding Hills, and the late Diane White; a dear brother to Phyllis Tokarski, of Ludlow, and the late Norman Waldron Jr. and Shirley Duby; a cherished grandfather to Jeffrey White; Caitlin, Megan, and Christopher Breault, and Amy Gonzalez; great-grandfather of Skyleigh and Lilyana White; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 22nd, 2010, at 8:15am at Ludlow Funeral Home followed by burial, with military honors in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 10:00am. Visiting hours are on Wednesday evening from 4-6pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carl’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the charity of one’s choice.
