Obituary for Carlos J. Da Silva
Carlos J. Da Silva, 84, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 27th, 2010. Born in Srabroso de Aguiar Portugal, he lived in Ludlow since 1972, retired from Ala-vel Industries of Springfield, and was a member of the Gremio Lusiatano Club. He is survived by his wife, Maria (Loureiro) Silva, his children Eulalia Costa and Maria Machado, of Portugal, Celina Goncalves, of Ludlow, Maria Leonor Silva, of Chicopee, Helena Goncalves and Eurico J. Silva, both of Ludlow, and Emidio J. Silva; of Spfld; a sister Aurora Goncalves, of Ludlow; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be on Saturday, May 29th at 9 AM from the Ludlow Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Church at 10am followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Saturday from 8-9 AM only.
