Obituary for Carmina Fernandes
Carmina Fernandes, of Ludlow, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28th. She was born on August 11, 1929 in Canedo, Ribeira de Pena, Portugal and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mom, avo, and friend. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Pedro Fernandes, who predeceased her in 2019; and leaves her loving children John, Isabel, Domingos, Jose, Carmina, Pedro and spouses. He also leaves behind her grandchildren, Joseph, Elizabette, Suzette, Gabrielle, Samuel, Benjamin, Lucas, and Davi, as well as her great grandchildren Mark, and Clive.
Funeral services for Carmina will be held at the Ludlow Funeral Home in Ludlow on Thursday, July 6th. Visiting hours are in the morning from 8:30 - 10:15 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church and burial in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carmina’s memory to Our Lady of Fatima Church, or Christ the King Church, or Pink Way, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
