Obituary for Catherine "Kay" (Krzyzek) Goodrow
Catherine Sophie (Krzyzek) “Kay” Goodrow, of 3 Bliss Street, Ludlow, MA, passed to a better place on Saturday, the 14th day of March, 2009 in Venice, FL. Born in Ludlow on 27 April, 1919, daughter of the late Walter and Sofia (Swontek) Krzyzek, wife of the late Henry C. Goodrow (1994), beloved mother of the late Joyce A. King (2006), sister to the late Theodore M. (Teddy) Krzyzek (2002), John W. (Johnny) Krzyzek (1985), and Mary A. Palazzi (2000). She leaves her daughter Beverly C. and her husband Wendell K. Savino of Sarasota, FL, and her son Ronald H. Goodrow and wife Beverly A. of Ware/Holyoke. Kay was grandmother to eight and great grandmother to fourteen. Catherine was also a communicant of St. John the Baptist Parish, Ludlow, and worked for Ludlow Manufacturing Corporation for many years before retiring in 1981. She was also a member of the Ludlow Senior Center and enjoyed arts and crafts, making things out of wood, painting and spending time outdoors, especially in her gardens. There are no calling hours and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ludlow Funeral Home. Friends and family are asked to gather for a Memorial Mass for Catherine on Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at 10:00am in St. John the Baptist Parish.
