Obituary for Ceaser A. Silva
Ceaser A. Silva, 92, a lifelong resident of Ludlow, died peacefully on February 17, 2018, with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Joseph and Maria (Sofrina) Silva, and he worked for many years as a supervisor for the Jahn Foundry Company, retiring in 1986. Ceaser proudly served his country during WWII with the United States Navy and was a long time member of the Unity A.C. of Ludlow. He is survived by his loving wife of over 70 years, Miquelina “Mickey” (Santos) Silva; 2 daughters; Marsha Cote and her husband Robert, of Winter Haven, Fl., and Ann-Marie Silva, of Ludlow; 3 grandchildren, Brian Cote from Ludlow, Kala Champagne from Chicopee, and Brooke Cote Nolan, of Quincy; and 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves 3 brothers; Frank, James, and Edward Silva, and a sister Virginia. Ceaser was also predeceased by 3 brothers; Alphonse, Albert, and Joseph Silva, and a sister Connie Gonsalves. At his request, all services were held privately, and donations in his memory may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield Ma. 01104.
