Obituary for Charles "Butch" Clark, Jr.
Charles “Butch” Clark, Jr., 71, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Westerly RI, son of the late Charles and Myrtle (Mercier) Clark, and he moved to Ludlow 35 years ago. Butch worked for 35 years at Smith & Wesson from where he retired. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and supporting Ludlow soccer. Also spending time with his family at Worden’s Pond Family Campground in Wakefield, RI, where he was affectionately known as its “Mayor”. Butch was the beloved husband of 50 years to Debbie (Sullivan) Clark; a loving father to Jennifer Maki, of Ohio, Danielle Clark and fiance Darwin Dawkins, of Ludlow, and Cassandra Clark, of Enfield; a cherished grandfather to AJ Goodale and wife Hannah, Jaiden Oyague, Corinne Maki, Xathiel Rosado, Giselle Brown, and great-grandson Baylor due in October; a dear brother to Sandy Mitchell of RI, Joe Clark and wife Connie Cartwright, of TX, and the late Ethel Clark and Peggy Goss; a dear brother-in-law to the late Maureen Pafumi; and also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Visiting hours for Butch are on Wednesday, July 6th from 5:00-7:00pm in Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a Celebration of Life service at 7:00pm. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
