Obituary for Charles C. Ellison
Charles C. Ellison, 78, of Indian Orchard, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2007. Born in Ludlow, the son of Charles and Gertrude (O’Gorman) Fuller Ellison, he had lived in the Ludlow and Indian Orchard area for most of his life and attended Ludlow Schools. Charles served his country as a member of the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1952. He was employed by the City of Springfield for 18 years as a skilled laborer. Charles was predeceased by his wife Rose Romeo Ellison in 1999. He leaves his children, Larry Todd, of Amherst, Richard, of West Springfield, Donna, of Hyannis, and the late Charles Jr.; his grandchildren; his siblings Donald Fuller of Monson and the late Robert Ellison, Evelyn Woods and Dorothy Reynolds; his former wives Shirley and Marguerite; and many family members including his cousin Elsie Hiersche and her family. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:30am at Ludlow Funeral Home. Visitation will precede the service from 10-10:30am and a private burial will be held in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles’ memory to Shriner’s Hospital 516 Carew St. Springfield, Ma. 01104.Â
