Obituary for Charles “Chuck” Milroy
Charles F. “Chuck” Milroy, 78, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2020. Born in Ludlow, son of the late William and Mary (Moncrieff) Milroy, he was a lifelong resident and graduate of Ludlow High School. Chuck graduated with a Masters Degree from AIC, was awarded an NSF Grant to study Marine Biology in the Pacific, and later went on to further his education at Penn State where he graduated from the Ice Cream Short Course. Chuck then applied his knowledge and skills as the General Manager of Elsie’s Creamery at Randall’s Farm and Greenhouse where he was affectionately known as the “Ice Cream Man”. Chuck leaves his beloved wife of 56 years Lynda (Fidalgo) Milroy; brother Dr. William Milroy (Rosanne), and his daughter Amy Butters; sister-in-law Paula Moretti and her son Rossano Butcher; sister-in-law Brenda Heap (Tom), and her daughters April and Wendy; his best friend Karen Randall; his canine companion Martini; and many loving extended family members and dear friends throughout the community including his fellow golfers, and his friends at Lake Wyola. There will be no services held for Chuck at this time with a Celebration of Life service to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation may be in Chuck’s memory to The Ludlow Community Center Randall Boys and Girls Club Child Care Programs 91 Claudia’s Way Ludlow, Ma. 01056.
