Obituary for Christine Ann Rusin
Christine Ann (McCollum) Rusin, 57, of Ludlow, passed away on Thursday March 23, 2006, surrounded by her loving family and after a very courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 2, 1948 to the late William and Genevieve (Rinaldi) McCollum, she was raised in Springfield and graduated from Trade High School in 1966. She was married in 1969 and spent most of her life as a stay at home mom dedicated to raising her children and was always known as a wonderful mother and friend by all who knew her. Christine was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the Kingdom Hall, Central Congregation in Springfield. She enjoyed dancing, baking, gardening and had a love for animals, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Her beautiful smile, laughter and presence will be sadly missed, but never forgotten by all who had the joy of knowing her. Christine leaves to mourn her three loving daughters, Darlene Ludwick of Enfield, Ct., Tracy Rusin of Ludlow and Lori Melling of Ludlow; her precious grandchildren Aaron, Alex, Alexis, Andrew, Madilyn and Morgan; her devoted companion Craig Kratovil of Springfield; her siblings Mary Goulet and Kathy Nassif, both of Indian Orchard, Michael McCollum of Palmer, William McCollum of Ludlow and Steven McCollum of Chicopee; 9 nieces and nephews and her two lifetime best friends Glenda LaRue and Darlene Cote. At the family’s request, all funeral services will be private. Ludlow Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Christine’s memory to North Shore Animal League America 25 Davis Ave. Port Washington, NY 11050.
