Obituary for Ciro A. Bracci
Ciro A. Bracci, 83, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Tuesday, March 16th, 2010. Born in Springfield to the late Mariano and Emelda Bracci, he lived in the Pine Point section of Springfield before moving to Ludlow in 1981. He was a United States Naval Veteran serving his country honorably in World War II. Ciro was a faithful communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Ludlow and belonged to the Ludlow Elks Lodge. An avid hunter, bowler, New York Yankees Fan and poker player, his passion was his work. For over 40 years he owned and operated Mall Barbers in the Eastfield Mall, recently retiring in 2008. Sadly he was predeceased by his beloved wife Sophie (Rodak) Bracci in 1999 along with daughters Doreen and Cheryl. Ciro leaves his loving family, his daughter Darlene Bracci-Walsh and her husband Christopher of Ludlow; grandchildren Tony, Angela and Gianna all of Ludlow; sisters Ida Jaciow, Ellen Boudreau and Elsie Randall all of Ludlow and the late Theresa Thompson; Fiancee Marilyn J. Fox of Ludlow and her daughter Barbara Fox-Mason of Springfield; many caring nieces, nephews and friends as well as his companion Rudy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 20th 2010 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial with Military Honors in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 4:00-7:00pm. Those wishing to make a donation in Ciro’s memory may do so to the American Heart Association.Â
