Obituary for Clara Barlow
Clara (Bachta) Barlow, of Ludlow, passed away on February 22, 2022. Clara was recently predeceased by her loving husband John Barlow. Mother to Darlene (Barlow) Duggan of Enfield, CT. Clara was predeceased by her son John (Jackie) Barlow and her son in law Gordon Duggan Jr. She is survived by her grandchildren and light of her life, Kaleigh Elizabeth Duggan, of Boston, MA and Trey Duggan and his fiancé Lisa Campisi of Enfield, CT. Clara, the daughter of John & Bertha Bachta, lived in Ludlow her entire life. She was a devoted community member who was always ready to volunteer and lend a hand. She took great pride in helping others, and taking care of her family. Her “spark” for excitement, always added an extra dimension of fun to anything she put her heart to. Her family will always be grateful for their yearly trips to Hampton Beach, where “Nana” could turn anything into a special memory that they will cherish forever. Clara could make a friend wherever she went. She always enjoyed her “Toll Booth” collecting days at the Mass Pike, where she knew all the regular’s names, pet names, family stories, etc. Clara was predeceased by her brother, John Bachta & his wife Louise, and her sister Ruth (Bachta) Coviello. She is survived by her brother in law “Chick” Coviello, and her sister Roberta (Bachta) Lafayette and her husband Fred Lafayette, her sister in law Barbara (Barlow) Daley and her partner Ron Emery, her brother in law Charles “Skipper” Barlow and his wife Lorraine, and was predeceased by her brother in law William “Bud” Barlow and her sister in law Joyce (Barlow) Goodrow. Her many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors, will miss her dearly. Funeral services for Clara will be held on Monday February 28, 2022 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours are Monday morning from 10:00am-12:00pm, following visiting hours a funeral procession will take place to Island Pond Cemetery for burial.
