Obituary for Clayon Michael Anthony Reid
Clayon Michael Anthony Reid, 59, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28th from complications due to early onset Alzheimer's disease. Born in Jamaica, he was the beloved son of Cecil and Kathleen (Douglas) Reid. Clayon moved to the United States in the late 1980’s and proudly became a U.S. citizen in 2016. Clayon worked at Baystate Noble Hospital for 10 years prior to his diagnosis and also enjoyed being an Amway distributor. His many passions included traveling, going out to eat and to the movies, and listening to Bob Marley. Besides his parents, Clayon leaves his wife Kimberly (Nagy) Reid, the love of his life, with whom he would have celebrated 16 years of marriage in December; his son Clayon Reid, Jr. of NH and mother Jennifer Reid, of Worcester; his siblings Michael Reid (Petrina) of CT, Marie Mallett (Ryon) of FL, Marcelene Miller (Peter) of NY, and Debra Reid of NY; mother-in-law Donna Nagy, brother-in-law Scott Nagy (Bob), all of Seekonk, and father-in-law Ken Nagy (Carol) of Ludlow; his closest friends Patricia Sullivan, Thomas Maziarz, Steve LeBlanc, and Lynn Malouin; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Clayon’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to Summit Elder Care, Southbridge Rehab and Health Care Center and his church family. Visiting hours for Clayon will be held on Saturday, November 9th from 11:00am-1:00pm at Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a service at 1:00pm.
