Obituary for Clotilde "Tillie" Robertson
Clotilde “Tillie” (Monteiro) Robertson, 87, of Ludlow, was called safely home to be with God on Monday, August 28, 2006. Born in Ludlow, she worked for many years as a cashier for Big Y Foods here in Ludlow. Prior to that, she owned and operated Tillie’s Beauty Salon for over 40 years. Tillie was a faithful communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and a member of the church’s Ladies Guild. She was the widow of Francis Robertson who died in 1982. She leaves her loving children; Francis Robertson and his wife Diane of East Longmeadow, Margaret Bournique and her husband Steven of Chicopee and Edna Lavoie and her husband Joseph of Wilbraham, 8 grandchildren; Timothy, Jason, Meghann, Pamela, Neal, Joseph Jr., Matthew and Michael as well as 2 cherished nieces, Irene Pereira and Elaine Szlosek, both of Ludlow. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church with burial to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. There are no visiting hours and donations in Tillie’s memory may be made to St. Mary’s Church, Cedar St. Ludlow, Ma. 01056 or the Charity of ones choice.
