Obituary for Cyrille J. Beliveau
Cyrille Beliveau, 88, of Springfield was called home to be with God on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Born in Ste. Sophie, Quebec, Canada to the late Leone and Aldea (Desroches) Beliveau, he has lived in Springfield for 55 years. Cyrille worked as a mechanic and welder for National Felt Co, Elwell Ironworks, Kaman Aircraft and Plainville Casting before retiring in 1985. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed gardening and playing cards, but his greatest joy in life was the time spent with his cherished family. Cyrille leaves his beloved wife of 59 years Georgette (Laflamme) Beliveau of Springfield; loving father of Gerald Beliveau and wife Evelyn, Rejean Beliveau and wife Lynn, Mario Beliveau and his wife Gerry and Joanne Breton and her companion Denis Picard; adoring grandfather to Jacob, Michelle, Eric, Jonathan, Leanne, Natalie Chantal, Trevor, Joshua, Katie and DJ; great-grandfather to Steven and Julia and a caring brother to Laurette Grenier of Canada. Sadly he was predeceased by a granddaughter Nicole Beliveau and by his four brothers, Fernand, Maurice, Gracien and Clement. Cyrille’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Mercy Hospital for the wonderful care they gave to him during his stay there. Funeral services will be held privately by his family and all arrangements were entrusted to the Ludlow Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center. In lieu of flowers it was the wish of Cyrille’s family that donations be made in his memory to Mercy Hospital.
