Obituary for Daniel J. Falcetti

Daniel Joseph Falcetti, 37, of Springfield, MA, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, January 8, 2013.
The youngest of four siblings, Dan was born at Providence Hospital in Holyoke, MA, on April 7, 1975. He spent most of his life in Westfield, MA, and was a 1993 graduate of Westfield High School. His childhood was spent playing sports, goofing off, and having fun with his friends and family. As a child, he made a mean hockey rink in his back yard where all the neighbors got together for fun on the ice. Dan was a regular at the Boys & Girls Club of Westfield where he met many lifelong friends. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Bruins, Giants, and Braves fan. He also loved hunting, fishing, and camping. The greatest love of Dan's life was spending time with his family; especially his wife Amy and his beautiful son Nicholas.
For the last 15 years, Dan was a sales representative at TrueGreen in Chicopee, MA. He leaves behind his wife, Amy Falcetti (Desmarais); his son, Nicholas Falcetti; parents, Karen Falcetti (Royland) of Westfield, MA, and Richard Falcetti Sr., of Southwick, MA; his brother Richard Falcetti Jr., and his wife Liz of Westfield, MA; his sisters, Deena M. Kelly and her husband Tim of Leonardtown, MD; and Beth A. Newton and her husband Tom, of Wilbraham, MA.
Dan is also survived by his mother and father in law, Patricia and Richard Desmarais and sister in law Carri Lyn and her husband Joe Zepperi, as well as his beloved nieces and nephews: Jake Falcetti; Shea and Brenna Kelly; Rachel, Spencer, and Mia Newton; and Joey, Tyler, and Trevor Zepperi. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many great friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home 432 East St. Ludlow, with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00pm in St. Elizabeth Parish, Hubbard St., Ludlow followed by burial in St. Mary‘s Cemetery in Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening from 4:00-7:00.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Daniel Falcetti Memorial Fund, for the benefit of Nicholas Falcetti, care of United Bank 95 Elm St. West Springfield, Ma 01089 or in person any United Bank branch.
