Obituary for Daryl R. Grosvenor
Daryl R. Grosvenor, 54, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer which he fought with faith and fortitude. Born in Ludlow, son of Helen (McKay) and the late Raymond P. Grosvenor, he was a lifelong resident and graduate of Ludlow High School. He then graduated from UMASS Amherst and was employed for many years at Acosta - Natural Specialty Sales. Daryl was a faithful Communicant and Eucharistic Minister of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church. He was also an avid gardener and a talented vocalist, and his love and talents were felt by all who knew him. He believed that “our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but by how we react to what happens, not by what life bring to us, but by the attitude we bring to life”. Besides his beloved mother Helen, Daryl leaves his loving siblings Paul Grosvenor, Donna Tarullo, and Kim Kania and her husband Paul, all of Ludlow; the loves of his life, his nieces Sarah and Emily Tarullo, and Elizabeth and Jennifer Kania; whom he adored and loved spending time with; several godchildren; and many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services are on Tuesday morning at 10:15 from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Elizabeth Parish, officiated by Fr. James McCurry, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visitation will precede the funeral from 9-10:15.

Donations may be made in Daryl’s memory to the Dana Farber Institute One Harvard St. Brookline, Ma. 02146.
