Obituary for David G. Bennet, Jr.
David G. Bennet, Jr. 79, of Ludlow, was called to Heaven on February 13, 2014. Born in Ludlow, he was a lifelong resident and graduate of Ludlow H.S. Â He worked for 36 years as a senior lab tech for Monsanto before his retirement and enjoyed fishing and gardening; but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his loving family, especially at Sunday brunch. Â David was the beloved husband of 59 years to Roberta A. (St. Jean) Bennet; a loving father to the late David G. Bennet III, and his wife Linda, Steven Bennet, Roberta Duffy and husband James, Edith Chenevert and husband Richard, and Kevin Butler and wife Julie, a cherished grandfather to Stephanie Bennet and David Bennet IV, Nicholas Bennet and wife Heather, Caitlin Duffy, Anthony and Meghan Curto, Corey, Nathan, Trisha, and Ryan Chenevert, Heather and Meghan Lee Butler, and the late Timothy Butler; an adoring great-grandfather to Raemon and Noah; a dear brother to Richard Bennett and the late Joyce Butler, and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends including his brothers and sisters in law Patricia and Robert Hortie, Suzanne and Edward Counter, Edmund and Diane St. Jean, and Lucille Sennett. Â Celebration of Life Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18th from 5:00-7:00pm at Ludlow Funeral Home with funeral services to be held privately by the family. Â
