Obituary for Deborah Ann Clark
Deborah Ann (Sullivan) Clark, 69, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Ludlow to Maurice and Beverly (Barnard) Sullivan and was a graduate of Cathedral High School. Deborah was the wife of 50 years to Charles “Butch” Clark, Jr., until his passing in 2022. While staying at home to raise their 3 daughters, Deborah would often take them with her to sell Avon and frequent craft shows. She was very devoted to her family and will also be remembered for being like a mother to everyone in her life. More recently, she worked for many years at the former Baystate/Columbia Gas Co. from where she retired, and in her spare time, she was an active member of the 16 Acres Lions Club, an avid shopper, and loved the beach. The day before she passed, she was given the beautiful gift of being able to go to the beach one last time with her family. Deborah leaves her loving daughters Jennifer Maki, of Ohio, Danielle Clark and fiance Darwin Dawkins, of Ludlow, and Cassandra Clark, of Enfield; her beloved grandchildren AJ Goodale and wife Hannah, Jaiden Oyague, Corinne Maki, Xathiel Rosado, Giselle Brown, great-grandson Baylor Goodale; and also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her sisters Cheryl L’Heureaux and Maureen Pafumi. Deborah's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of 5th floor south wing, ICU, and palliative care unit at Baystate Medical Center. Visiting hours for Deborah are on Friday, August 11th from 5:00-7:00pm in Ludlow Funeral Home. Family and friends may then gather on Saturday, August 12 in the funeral home beginning at 11:00am with a celebration of life service to be held at 12:00pm. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to any animal shelter or rescue center to honor Deborah's love animals.
