Obituary for Derek Joseph Santos
Derek Joseph Santos, 35, of Ludlow, passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2024. Derek was the beloved son of Manuel and Arminda A. (Alves) Santos and was a 2007 graduate of Ludlow High School. He was employed as information technologist at Springfield International Charter School and his many interests included video and computer games, anything technology, and brewing beer; but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Besides his parents, Derek leaves his loving sister Shana Hogg and husband Seth; nephew Lucas Hogg; grandmother Ana Alves; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. Visiting hours for Derek will be held on Monday, November 18th from 8:15-10:15am at Ludlow Funeral Home. Funeral services and burial will be held privately by his family. The family has requested that due to cemetery restrictions, donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Mental Health Association (www.mhainc.org/donate)
