Obituary for Diamantino Carvalho
Diamantino Carvalho, 76, of Birch St., was called to Heaven on November 14, 2008. Born in Soutelo, de Aguiar, Portugal, he came to Ludlow in 1980 where he was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. He also worked for many years at F+D Tools before his retirement. Diamantino was the beloved husband of the late Ana da Graca (Valadares) Carvalho, who predeceased him in 1989; the loving father of Henrique J. Carvalho, Joao Carvalho and his wife Fernanda, Ana Borges and her husband Joaquim, all of Ludlow, Alcidia Machado and her husband Eurico, of Springfield, Maria McCormick and her husband Walter, of West Warren, his son-in-law Abilio Machado, of Ludlow, and the late Antonio Carvalho and Irene Machado; a dear brother to many brothers and sisters in Portugal and Canada; cherished grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 2. Funeral services are on Tuesday morning, November 18, 2008 at 8am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Monday evening from 4-7pm.
