Obituary for Diane Marie (Fedoras) Robbins
Diane Marie (Fedoras) Robbins, 72, passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on March 22, 1951, and was the daughter of the late Agnes (Selepak) and Joseph Fedoras. She was a long-time resident of Ludlow, MA recently moving to neighboring Belchertown.
Diane was a 1969 graduate of Ludlow High School. She then went on to earn her Licensed Practical Nurse’s degree. She began her nursing career at Wesson Women’s Hospital working in the Infants’ Unit. She worked at Ludlow Hospital for 11 years, working the 11-7 night shift where she made many life-long friends. After Ludlow Hospital closed, she worked as a visiting nurse before making a complete career change and joining forces with her husband when they purchased Miracle Method of Western Mass in 1999. They ran the business together for 20 years until their retirement in 2019.
Diane met the love of her life, Raymond Jean-Paul Robbins, when she was sixteen years old, working as a Candy Stripe Nurse at Ludlow Hospital. She married Raymond three years later and had two children together, Jeffrey Robbins of Belchertown, formerly of Ludlow, and Erica Cronan of Ashland, MA. She leaves behind her son-in-law Earl Cronan and was the adoring “Baba” to Madison and Owen. Diane was the older sister to her best friend and brother, Michael Fedoras, and his wife Barbara of East Hartford, CT, and also to JoAnn Cardinal and her husband Robert of Ludlow. She leaves behind a large extended family including Leonard and Dorothy Robbins, Ramona Reccord (predeceased by Rocky), Marie Sbriscia (predeceased by Lawrence), Paulette and David Gilfoil, Elizabeth Robbins (predeceased by Allen McGrath), Suzanne and Gary Desrosiers, Brenda and Dino D’Angelo, and so many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews that she just loved with all of her heart.
The greatest joy of her life was her two grandchildren. Baba was always so proud of them, loved attending all of their school and sports activities, and especially loved cheering them on during their hockey games.
Diane loved to entertain and cook amazing meals, and nothing made her happier than to have a full house! Her family and friends will sorely miss her kindness, smile, and infectious laugh.
Visiting hours for Diane will be held on Tuesday, September 5th from 4:00-7:00pm in Ludlow Funeral Home. Funeral services are on Wednesday, September 6th at 10:00am from the funeral home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial services at 1:00pm in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
Diane loved spending her time needlepointing, cross-stitching, knitting, and crocheting. She often gave her craft to others as thoughtful gifts. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Diane’s name to Knots of Love https://www.knotsoflove.org/
