Obituary for Dianne (Dee) Ottomaniello
Dianne (Dee) Ottomaniello passed away peacefully in the early morning of December 3rd, 2021. Born April 8th, 1968 to Joyce (Gorman) and Michael Ottomaniello Sr, Dianne was raised and educated in Ludlow. Working as a CNA and executive assistant, she met many of her lifelong friends. Dianne loved being a mom, being an Auntie to her friends’ children (2 generations) and being at the races with the boys who called her Princess. Dee made the most of her life despite an aortic dissection at age 40. She was considered a “big deal” at UMass Worcester for successfully surviving 4 open heart surgeries and having a good, healthy life afterwards. Dianne was preceded by her beloved Dad and her best friend, Terri Huckins. She leaves behind her mother, her brother Mike Jr, and sister Dawn French. Her children; daughter Rebeccah Szczygiel of Ludlow, Amber Pouliot, favorite son in law Brandon, and beloved grandson Nolan of Russell, and her son Mark (and Brigid) of Russell. In addition, her goddaughters Ali Herter of Ludlow and Erika Marsh of Earlton, NY. Dianne’s happy place was anywhere she could be with her family, friends, and animals. She will be missed by so many for her smile, laughter, and positive attitude. Funeral services for Dianne will be held on Friday December 10,2021 from the Ludlow Funeral Home, visiting hours are Friday morning from 8:30-10:15am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00am in St Elizabeth Church. The family has asked that those attending the visiting hours and service please wear masks.
