Obituary for Dominica C. “Mickey” Jarvis
Dominica C. (Mitus) “ Mickey” Jarvis, 89, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Feb. 25, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Wilbraham on October 14, 1929 to Stephen and Catherine (Schram) Mitus and was a 1946 graduate of Putnam High School. Mickey was a longtime Ludlow resident and worked for many years at the former Ludlow Hospital from where she retired. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping and needlepoint, a hobby that earned her the affectionate title of “The Heart Lady”. Mickey was a loving mother to Ronald and wife Lillian, of Ludlow, and David and wife Julie, of Springfield; a devoted Bachi to Mechelle, Lisa, Kaitlin, and Kyle; great-bachi to Gina and Chrissy; and a dear sister of 10 sibling whom all predeceased her. Visiting hours are on Friday, March 1st from 10:00-11:00am in Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
