Obituary for Donald H. Mackintosh
Donald H. Mackintosh, 76, of Ludlow, died peacefully on July 9, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Worcester, son of the late Robert and Blanche (LeBlanc) Mackintosh, he was a 1956 graduate of Palmer H.S. and a longtime resident of Ludlow where he was a faithful communicant of St. Elizabeth Parish. Donald worked for many years as a manager for Friendly’s Ice Cream Corp and then for Jim Dandy Corp before retiring. He truly enjoyed his retirement and became an avid golfer, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his loving family.
Donald was the beloved husband of 56 years to Margaret (Santucci) Mackintosh; a devoted father to Diane Rhodes and husband Bruce, Michael D. Mackintosh and wife Noreen, all of Ludlow, Karen Rolandini, of West Springfield, Brian Mackintosh and wife Arice, Glenn Mackintosh and girlfriend Andrea, and Susan LaMountain and boyfriend Larry, all also of Ludlow; an adoring grandfather to Andy, Sarah, Danielle, Michael, Patty, Nicholas, Case, and Ryan; a dear brother to David Mackintosh and wife Barbara; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral services for Donald are on Monday, July 14th at 10:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Sunday from 3:00-6:00pm
