Obituary for Donald Roberge
Donald Richard Roberge, 83, was called safely home to be with God on December 27, 2021. Born in Springfield to the late Romeo and Emily (Schlink) Roberge, he was a longtime Ludlow resident and faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Donald was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and he worked with various car dealerships in Western Mass and the Connecticut area, he had a passion for fixing all types of cars and trucks, if Don couldn’t fix it - it couldn't be fixed! He loved his family and was a proud “Pa” to all of his grandchildren whom he loved to joke with. He leaves his beloved wife of 63 years, Cornelia “Connie” Roberge; loving father to Lawrence Roberge and wife Cynthia, Daniel Roberge and his wife Barbara and Donna Goncalves and her husband Manuel; cherished grandfather to Manuel Jr. and his fiancée Daniela, Alexander, Michael, Sara and fiancé Bryan, Mary and Elizabeth; dear brother to George Roberge of Westfield, Rita Fuchs of Arizona and the late Elizabeth Barczynski. Funeral services for Donald will be held on Thursday December 30, 2021 and are entrusted to the Ludlow Funeral Home. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Ludlow for an 11:00am Liturgy of Christian Mass followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. It is strongly suggested by the family that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Donald’s memory to: Sisters of St. Joseph, 577 Carew Street, Springfield 01104 or Sisters of Notre Dame, 468 Poquonock Avenue, Windsor, Ct. 06095.
