Donald W. Daubmann, 73, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on December 21st with his loving wife and the love of his family by his side. Donald was the son of the late George and Helen (Weigand) Daubmann and was a graduate of Cathedral High School and STCC. He proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard and worked for many years at MassMutual and SBLI before establishing his own business Bull’s Eye Pizza and Video in Chicopee. Donald will be remembered for his many years delivering meals for the Meal on Wheels program as well as his numerous hobbies including fishing, golfing, being an avid fan of all sports, especially tennis, and his love of Akitas. Donald was the beloved husband of 50 years to Janice (Labonte) Daubmann; a devoted father to Aranka and Anna Daubmann; a loving grandfather to Ethan and Brady; a dear brother and uncle to Helen Anne, husband Larry and their children Douglas and Deborah, George Jr., wife Carolyn and their children Karl and Karen, William, wife Donna and their children Keith and Douglas; a loved brother-in-law and uncle to everyone in Janice’s family, and also leaves many dear friends. Visiting hours for Donald will be held on Thursday, December 28th from 5:00-7:00pm in Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald’s memory to Brigham and Women's Hospital, c/o BWH Development Office, 263 Huntington Avenue #318 Boston, MA. 02115-4506 to honor the exceptional care that they provided to him.
