Obituary for Donna (Lambert) Longe
Donna (Lambert) Longe, 71, of South Hadley passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20th, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Born and raised in Springfield to the late Maurice and Lucille Lambert, she was a 1958 graduate of Cathedral High School and the Mansfield Beauty Academy. Donna worked as a self employed beautician, she was the former treasurer of M.A.D.D. and was a licensed insurance agent. She lived in Ludlow for many years and was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, she enjoyed playing the piano, puzzles, boating and singing opera at the former Grand Theater in Indian Orchard, but her greatest joy in life was the time spent with her cherished family and friends, “unforgettable that’s what she was“. Donna was the beloved wife of the late Watson “Bud” Longe who predeceased her in 2008. She leaves her loving children; Gary LeBer of Wilmington, NC, Garry Longe and wife Karen Truehart of Colrain, Denise Jacques and husband Bob of Ludlow, Debbie Longe of Granville, Sandy Rodrigue of Chicopee and Carole Murchie and husband Dale of Wilmington; cherished grandmother to Jonathan (Nikki), Brittany, Jacob, Benjamin, Daryl (Corey), Elizabeth, Jeremiah, Gabriel (Rita), David, Angelica, Kristina, Sarah, Dennon (Bridget), Anthony, Morgan, and Stephanie; great-grandmother to Jonathan, Tatianna, Stella, Kylie, Alec, Grace and Madeline. Sadly Donna was also predeceased by a son Richard LeBer, a sister Maureen Dirga and a son-in-law Willie Rodrigue. Funeral services for Donna will be held on Monday, November 25th 2013 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home, 432 East Street, Ludlow, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Rose Cemetery, South Hadley. Visiting hours are Sunday afternoon from 2:00-5:00pm.
