Obituary for Dora (Sevigne) Charest

Dora (Sevigne) Charest, 90, of Ludlow passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Thursday February 1, 2024. Born in Springfield to the late Roger and Emily (Kitwood) Sevigne she has lived in Ludlow for many years, where she raised her family. Dora loved bingo and watching sports but her greatest joy in life was being a caretaker for her kids and grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of the late John Charest Jr. who sadly predeceased her in 1991. She leaves her loving children, Gregory Charest (Chris), Ann Charest, John Charest (Leslie), Kenneth Charest (Jacki) and Donna Serafino (David); adored grandchildren Nicholas, David, Joshua, Kaeli, Alexandria, Amanda, Mackenzie, Jack and Tyler and great granddaughters Gwendolyn and Brinleigh-Jean; her dear sisters Jacqueline Lind and Joan Eagan and brothers John and Jerry Sevigne and predeceased by her 9 sisters and 5 brothers. Visitation for Dora will take place on Tuesday evening February 6th from 4:00-7:00pm at the Ludlow Funeral Home, at Dora's request her Liturgy of Christian Mass and burial will be held privately by her family. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Doras memory to: St. Jude Children's Hospital @www.stjude.org.
