Obituary for Doris (Smith) D'Andrea
Doris “Dodo” (Smith) D’Andrea, 88 of West Palm Beach, Florida and formerly of Ludlow died peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Coral Bay Healthcare Center in West Palm Beach. Born and raised in Ludlow, she resided with her family at 88 Chapin Street for more than 50 years. Doris worked in the Wilbraham School System as a bus driver for 29 years and was an avid bingo player . Doris was a former communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Ludlow. She was the wife of the late Santino D’Andrea who predeceased her in 1995. Doris leaves her loving children Victoria D’Andrea of West Palm Beach, Barry D’Andrea and his wife Cyndie of New Boston, NH, Santino D’Andrea Jr. and his wife Sandra of West Suffield, CT, and Thomas D’Andrea and his wife Jacqueline of West Springfield. Sadly she was also predeceased by her daughter Tina LaBroad in 1985. Gram also leaves grandchildren Bettina, April, Ann, Marissa, Gary, and Tom Jr. and six great grandchildren. Funeral services for Doris will be held on Friday March 15, 2013 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home 432 East Street, Ludlow, MA. Followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth Church with Monsignor Homer Gosselin presiding. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 4:00-7:00pm.
