Obituary for Dorothea "Dottie" Grandi
Dorothea A. “Dottie” Grandi, 83, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2008, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Springfield, the daughter of the late Roger and Emily (Kitwood) Sevigne, she lived in Ludlow most of her life where she was a faithful communicant of Christ the King Church.  She worked for many years at WR Wright Co. in Warren, Springfield Armory and most recently for the former Springfield Civic Center before her retirement.  She also loved Bingo at her church and her trips to the casinos.  Dottie was the beloved wife of the late George Grandi, who predeceased her in 1994; a loving mother to Elizabeth “Betty” Bloomberg and her husband David, of West Springfield, Rosemary “Mosie” Misiaszek and her husband Joseph, of Pueblo, CO, Teresa “Terri” Moreno and her husband Manuel, of Ludlow, and Georganna “Gigi” Kimball and her husband Leslie, also of Ludlow; a dear sister to Joan Eagan, Dora Charest, Jacqueline Lind, Judy DiGiorgio, Jean Wrenn, Patricia Massey and James, John, Norman, Edward, and Jerry Sevigne; as well as the late Barbara Deyo, Elsie Emmens, Phyllis Wdowiak, Pauline Hughes, Gertrude Hallett and Roger and Richard Sevigne; a cherished grandmother to Stacy, Missy and her husband Roger, Jennifer and her fiancée Robert, Joseph and his wife Kanda, Anthony and his wife Jana, Andrea, and Billy and great-grandmother to Cole, KaiLee, Joseph, James, Alexandra, Morgan, Robert and Donald.  Funeral services will be on Thursday morning at 9am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in Christ the King Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.  Visiting hours are on Wednesday evening from 5-8pm and memorial donations may be made in Dottie’s memory to The American Cancer Society PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
