Obituary for Edmund F. Duprey, Jr.
Edmund F. Duprey, Jr., 89, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Â Born in Springfield, son of the late Edmund and Carlene (St. Croix) Duprey, he was a United States Navy Veteran serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Â He worked as a self employed TV repairman for many years before retiring and was also a lifelong member of the VFW. Edmund was the beloved husband of the late Barbara A. (Chamberland) Duprey, who predeceased him in 2006; a loving father to Cheryl Bonci and husband David, of West Springfield, and Cynthia Benoit and husband Philip, of Orange; a devoted grandfather to Paul, Andrew, John, and the late Philip, who predeceased him in 2001, a dear brother to the late Robert, James, and Beverly; and also leaves many loving extended family members.
