Obituary for Edna M. (Bardzik) Martins
Edna M. (Bardzik) Martins, 82, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, she has lived most of her life in Ludlow where she was a faithful communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and more recently of St. Elizabeth Catholic Community. She worked for many years at Mass Mutual Ins. Agency before retiring and was also an active member of the Ludlow Senior Center. Edna was the loving mother of David Martins, of Monson, and Katherine Cardinale and husband Domenick, of Hampden; a cherished grandmother to Lindsay Cardinale; a dear sister to Florence Methe, of Springfield; and also leaves a cousin Marjorie O’Donnell, of Springfield; a Goddaughter Christine Methe, of Springfield; a nephew Michael Methe, of Chicopee; and many dear friends. Funeral services are on Friday, Aug. 6, 2010 at 8am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Elizabeth Catholic Community followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
