Eduardo Branco DaCruz passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on June 9th, 2025 at the age of 90. Born on March 12th, 1935 in Sobral da Lagoa, Portugal, he was the beloved son of the late Antonio Da Cruz and Maria da Conceicao Branca Da Cruz. In 1981, he immigrated with his adoring wife Ivone da Anunciacao Lopes to be with his daughter Maria Branca Santos, son in-law Francisco Eduardo Santos and granddaughters Joanne Santos and Yvonne Dwojeski-Santos. Eduardo loved his home and land in Portugal so very much. He later retired there with his wife only to be reunited with his family again here in the United States. He was a very hard worker at the Alevel Corp as well as Carando Meats and made many friends. Eduardo enjoyed so many things. He was an animal lover, farmer, gardener, hunter and loved fishing for eels in the Lagoa in Portugal. He was a friend to many and his stories were many too. He was kind, generous and playful. He loved to play the harmonica and listen to music. He leaves his loving wife Ivone of 69 years, his daughter Maria Branca, son in law Chico, granddaughters Joanne, Yvonne and Annie and four great grandchildren, Joao Pontes, Samuel Pontes, Oliver Dwojeski Santos and Lincoln Dwojeski Santos and many extended family members.
Funeral services for Eduardo will be held on Wednesday June 11th, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to come and pay their respects starting at 9:00-10:15am. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Mass to follow at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 11:00am. There will not be a burial for Eduardo will be laid to rest in Sobral da Lagoa with his brothers, sisters and parents. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital
