Edward Brayley, 77, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026 with his loving family by his side. Born in Batavia, NY to Elwin and Bernice (Strathearn) Brayley, he was a longtime resident of Chicopee and was employed for 39 years for the United States Postal Service from where he retired. Ed will be remembered for his love of golf, but above all for his love and devotion to his family.
Ed was predeceased by his sister Nora Black and his son Christopher Brayley. He was the beloved husband of 34 years to Dianne (Bojarski) Brayley; a loving father to Lisa Roldan; dear brother to Robert Brayley and wife Dorothy; devoted grandfather to Alexander Shaver (Nyasia Lopez), Brooke Niese (Adam), and Brayden Roldan; great-grandfather to Miyani, Zaphera, and Azula; and also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Funeral services for Ed will be held on Saturday, March 28th. Visitation is from 10:00-11:45am at Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a chapel service at 12:00pm followed by procession with burial in Baptist Village Cemetery in East Longmeadow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org)
