Obituary for Edwin Lewicki
Edwin Lewicki, 91, formerly of Ludlow passed away peacefully on February 5, 2018 at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. Born in Wilbraham he was the son of the late Walter and Nellie (Rusiecki) Lewicki. Ed was employed by A+P for 28 years also the Wilbraham Regional School System for 12 years and a long time livery driver for Century Limousine. He served his country honorably during World War II in the United States Navy aboard the USS Natahala in the Pacific, he was a proud member of the Polish American Citizens Club, the PAV of Wilbraham, and Ludlow VFW Post 3236, the Unity Club in Ludlow, the Elks Lodge Post 2448 in Ludlow, and the Ludlow Senior Citizens Club. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Olbrych) Lewicki; he leaves his son Michael Lewicki and his wife Debra of Boxford, MA., daughter Nancy Lewicki of West Springfield; grandchildren Jason Lewicki and his wife Misha and Amanda Lewicki, and a cherished great granddaughter Elise. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, February 9th 2018. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam for a 10:00am service. Ludlow Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements and in Lieu of flowers it was Ed’s wish that donations be made in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Holyoke Soldiers Home.
