Obituary for Elaine Rita (Provost) Waldo
Elaine Rita (Provost) Waldo, 78, of Indian Orchard, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Holyoke, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Rita (Pimpare) Provost. Elaine worked as a paraprofessional for many years for the Springfield School System and in her spare time, she enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Elaine was the beloved wife of Michael Waldo; a loving mother to Daniel Provost, Rita Johnson, and the late Stephen Wilde; a devoted grandmother to Malina, Cory, Seth, Chloe, Christopher, Mattingly, Angelina, and Isabella; a devoted great-grandmother to Jammar, Matthias, and Elgin; a dear sister to Gloria Houston, Susanne Brown, Claire McKenney, Denise Carlson, David, Roger, Armand, and Michael Provost, and the late Norman, Gerard, and Diane Provost. Funeral services for Elaine will be held on Saturday, December 28th. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am at Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a funeral home service at 11:00am and followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley.
