Obituary for Elaine T. (Dubois) Kogut
Elaine T. (Dubois) Kogut, 81, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2008.  Born in Ludlow, the daughter of the late retired Ludlow Fire Chief Rene H. Dubois and Ethelyn (Davies) Dubois, she was a lifelong resident and faithful communicant of St. Cecelia’s Church.  Elaine worked for many years at Ludlow Hospital before her retirement and taught sewing at the former Chestnut St. Ludlow Boys and Girls Club.  She was an active member of the Ludlow Senior Center where she presently taught quilting and she also enjoyed traveling and golf.  Elaine was the beloved wife of the late Edward F. Kogut, who predeceased her in 1994; the loving mother of Wendy Peterson and her husband David, of Wilbraham, and Kathleen “Kate” Mulveyhill, of Ludlow; a dear sister to retired Ludlow Fire Chief Homer R. Dubois, of Ludlow, Lauretta Raymond, of Feeding Hills, and Vivian Caron, of Ludlow, a cherished grandmother to Marissa Foote and her husband Steve, and Jeremy and Jenna Peterson; great-grandmother to Gavin Foote; and also leaves many other loving family members and dear friends.   Funeral services are on Wednesday morning at 10am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Cecelia’s Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.  Visiting hours will precede the funeral on Wednesday from 8:30-10:00am and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Elaine’s memory to Friends of the Ludlow Senior Center 37 Chestnut St. Ludlow, Ma. 01056.
