Obituary for Eleanor (Ashline) Dubour
Eleanor J. (Ashline) Dubour, 82, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 19, 2022. Born in Springfield to the late Edward and Eleanor Ashline, she lived most of her life in Ludlow where she was a devout communicant of St. Elizabeth Parish. Eleanor was a graduate of Cathedral High School and The Springfield Hospital Nursing Program, obtaining her nursing degree and working at the Wesson Maternity Ward. She enjoyed playing Bingo at Christ the King Church and was a proud member of the Polish American Citizens Club. Eleanor looked forward to the Big E every year. She not only made it a tradition to attend with her family, but she also enjoyed working there, making cream puffs and eclairs. Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Dubour who predeceased her in 2014; she leaves her loving children Gerald Dubour and his wife Lynn of Ludlow and Donna Dubour of Palmer and sadly predeceased by her daughter Judy Dubour in 1986; she leaves her cherished grandchildren Nicholas Channel-Natario and his husband Jonathan, Shellane Mattscheck and husband Alex, Andrew Natario and wife Meagan, Natalie LePage and her husband Zach, Jacquelyn Dubour and Jonathan Dubour as well as her dear great grandchildren; Autumn LePage, Aria Mattscheck, Aaron Mattscheck, Lucas Mattscheck, Olivia Natario, Hannah Natario and Ellie Channel -Natario; her sister Loretta Gosselin, her brother Joseph Ashline along with several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was also predeceased by her brother Raymond Ashline. Funeral services for Eleanor will be held on Tuesday July 26, 2022 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours are Tuesday morning from 9:15am-10:15am with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 11:00am in St. Elizabeth Church followed by burial in St. Michael's Cemetery in Springfield.
