Obituary for Elizabeth (Chrusciel) Haluch
Elizabeth “Betty” (Chrusciel) Haluch, 86 of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025 in Springfield, MA. Daughter of the late Mathew and Helen (Anderson) Chrusciel, she was born on Jan. 20, 1939. She was raised in Indian Orchard and Ludlow. She was a 1956 graduate of Ludlow High School. Betty worked at Vertis Advertising in bookkeeping for over 20 years. She was an avid gardener and passionate about needlepointing. Betty is survived by her daughter Joanne Martins and her husband John, their children Angela Knox and her husband Sean, Melissa Bettencourt and her husband Matthew, and Kevin Martins and his wife Melanie. Along with her great grandchildren Gabriella, Hazel, Sophia, Wyatt, Farrah and Mila. Sadly, she was predeceased by her longtime companion James Leahy on Sept. 21, 2025. Betty will be remembered for her kindness, strength and deep love for her family. She found joy in spending time with her loved ones and created countless memories that will be treasured forever. Funeral services for Betty will be held on Wednesday December 3rd from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours are Wednesday morning from 9:00am-10:15am with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 11:00am in Christ The King Church followed by burial in Reservoir Cemetery, Ludlow.
