Obituary for Erica Lana Da Silva

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Erica Lana Da Silva, 48, of Ludlow, Massachusetts, who passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Born in São Geraldo de Tumiritinga, Minas Gerais, Brazil, on June 1, 1977, Erica later made her home in Ludlow, where she had been a proud resident for the past 17 years. Erica was a light in every single room she entered. Her warm heart, radiant smile, and contagious energy touched everyone she met. Many may remember her from her time working at Solmar Restaurant in Indian Orchard, where her kindness and joy left a lasting impression on both coworkers and customers alike.

She loved traveling—especially to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where the beach always brought her peace and happiness. Erica had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved. Her home was always full of laughter, good food, music, and joy. She treated everyone as if they were family and carried herself with immense compassion and grace.

Erica’s greatest pride and joy was her daughter, Esther Coelho, through whom she lived out many of her own dreams. Her strength and spirit during her battle with cancer were nothing short of inspiring—she faced every challenge with courage, faith, and love. True to her vibrant Brazilian roots, she could often be found dancing, smiling, and spreading joy wherever she went. She was, and will always be, the Brasileira everyone knew and loved.

Erica leaves behind her beloved daughter Esther Coelho; her husband Leandro Do Nascimento; stepdaughter Emelly Nascimento; and her former husband and close friend Ediney Coelho, the father of her daughter. She is also survived by her devoted mother Maria Helena De Lana; her siblings Edson Da Silva (and family), Edmilson Da Silva, Luciene Ferreira (and family), Elidamárcia Da Silva, and Ernandes Da Silva (and family); and her loyal dog and “partner in

crime,” Blaze.

A memorial service to celebrate Erica’s life will be held Sunday, November 23rd 2025, at 918 Front Street Chicopee, Ma. 01020 from 6pm-9pm. All are welcome! Erica’s life, though far too short, was filled with immense love, laughter, and light. Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know her.
