Obituary for Esabel (Palheiredo) Grassetti
Esabel M. Grassetti, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 22,2019. Born in Ludlow, she was the daughter of Jose and Anna Pahlheiredo and was a 1957 graduate of Ludlow High School. She married the love of her life, Robert A. Grassetti, in 1958 and they shared 51 wonderful years of marriage, until his passing in 2010. Together, they raised a family, ran a successful business, and enjoyed homes in Wilbraham, Cape Cod, and Sanibel Island, Fla. Esabel had a creative flair, excelling at crochet, computer skills, and especially interior decorating. She was a strong, independent woman born ahead of her time, and she will be greatly missed by
her family and friends. Besides her late husband Robert, she leaves her beloved son Robert J. Grassetti and his wife Cheryle of Kennebunkport, ME and her devoted daughter Cheryl A. (Grassetti) Maillet and her husband Dean of Natick. She was
a dear "Vovo" to her grandsons, Robert D. Grassetti, Anthony J. Grassetti, Kyle J. Buckley, and Ryan R. Buckley; loving sister-in-law to Eleanor and Ronald Grassetti (who provided exceptional care for our mother), Joan and the late Aldo Grassetti, and Lewis Bernardos Jr.; loving Aunt to Lori Kedziorek and Donna Moreno (both deceased), Louis Moreno, Judy Metcalf, Kimberly Kedziorek, Lewis Bernardos III, Christopher Bernardos, Daniel Palheiredo, David Grassetti, Laura Grassetti, Allison Grassetti, and Christine Young, Esabel was predeceased by her sisters Anna Belczyk, Mary Moreno, Erma Bernardos, and brothers Joseph Palheiredo and Chico Georgia. Esabel’s arrangements have been entrusted to Ludlow Funeral Home, her services were held privately by her family. Contributions can be made in Esabel's name to Alzheimer's Research and American Cancer Research.
