Obituary for Evelyn H. ((Bonafilia) Cote
Evelyn H. (Bonafilia) Cote, 90, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2023, with her loving family by her side. Born in Holyoke, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ethel (Lake) Bonafilia. Evelyn worked for 20 years at Deluxe Check Printers before retiring, and in her free time, she enjoyed traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family and her beloved cat. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her former spouses, Erick Rosdail, Raymond E. Rivers, Jr., and Norman L. Cote; her beloved daughter, Linda Marie Goldstein; brothers, Frank, Alfred, Robert, Charles and Leo Bonafilia; and sisters, Dorothy Blanchard and Margaret Papineau. She leaves her loving daughter Diane Hajdamowicz and husband Roman; son-in-law Bruce Goldstein; grandchildren: Brian Hajdamowicz and wife Virginia, Adam Hajdamowicz and fiancé Megan Flaherty, Michael Hajdamowicz and partner Savannah McCarl, Sara Goldstein and husband Jordan Solomon, and Daniel Goldstein and wife Alyssa; great-grandchildren: Grace, Carter, Frederick, Shawn, and Aria Hajdamowicz, Ascher and Shoshana Goldstein, and Lucy Solomon; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Visiting hours for Evelyn are on Tuesday, March 21st from 5:00-7:00pm at Ludlow Funeral Home. Funeral services are on Wednesday, March 22nd at 8:45am at Ludlow Funeral Home, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am at Mary, Mother of Hope Church in Springfield, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery in Ludlow. Flowers are welcomed; in lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (Alz.org).
