Obituary for Evelyn (Ziemba) Pereira
Evelyn (Ziemba) Pereira , 83, of Ludlow passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday April 25, 2013. Born and in Ludlow to the late Michael and Victoria (Majka) Ziemba she was a life long resident. Evelyn enjoyed long walks and was an avid Bingo player, but her greatest joy in life was the time spent with her cherished grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of the late Miguel “Mike” Pereira who predeceased her in 1986. She leaves her loving children Daniel Pereira of Connecticut, Janet Korzenowski and her husband William of Belchertown and Judy Hogan and her husband Bill of Ludlow; grandmother to Joseph Pereira, Michael Benoit, Michael Pereira, William Benoit, Harry Korzenowski and the late David Pereira; caring sister to Julie Rolla of Ware and Nellie Opalinski of Wilbraham. Sadly she was predeceased by her 4 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services for Evelyn will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a chapel service beginning at 10:00am followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday evening from 4:00-7:00pm and In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Evelyns name to the charity of ones choice.
