Obituary for Ezaura "Hazel" Silva
Ezaura “Hazel” (Carrolo) Silva of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 16th, 2011. Born in Ludlow to the late Jose and Maria (de Conceicao Lima) Carrolo, she was a lifelong resident and a communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church. For over fifty years she was the owner of Hazel’s Beauty Salon in Ludlow. Hazel was predeceased by her beloved husband Alfonse Silva in 1970. She leaves her loving daughters Arlene Ziencina of New Bedford, Ma. and Patricia Young of Belchertown; her 3 cherished grandchildren Jacob, Kelsey and Eli; her caring sister Julia Barcelo of Simsbury, Ct. as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Hazel will be held on Saturday March 19th, 2011. Family and friends are asked to gather for a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church in Belchertown at 11:00am followed by a funeral procession to St. Aloysius Cemetery for burial. Visitation is private and donations may be made in Hazels memory to the charity of ones choice. Ludlow Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
