Obituary for Felismina (Martins) Da Costa
Felismina (Martins) Da Costa, 84, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully with the love and prayers of her family surrounding her. Born in Baldio, Alcobaca, Portugal, she has lived in Ludlow for many years where she was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She loved sewing, shopping and playing cards with her friends, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored. Felismina was the beloved wife of the late Jose Tavares Da Costa, who predeceased her in 2005; a loving mother to Jose M. Da Costa and wife Celeste, of Portugal, Isabel C. Nogueira and husband Armando, of Ludlow, Manuela C. Luis and husband Rui, of Portugal, Georgete C. Coelho and husband Manny, Filomena C. Martins and husband Sergio, and Antonio M. Costa and wife Isabel, all of Ludlow; a cherished grandmother of 15; and adoring great-grandmother of 11. She also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends and was sadly predeceased by her sisters. Felismina's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Wingate of Springfield Nursing Home, as well as Beacon Hospice, for the wonderful care that they gave to her. Funeral services will be on Saturday morning at 9:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4-7pm.

Donations may be made in Felismina's memory to Our Lady of Fatima Church 438 Winsor St. Ludlow, Ma. 01056 or Beacon Hospice 815 Worcester St. Springfield, Ma. 01151.
