Obituary for Frances (Rachmaciej) Ochrymowicz
Frances (Rachmaciej) Ochrymowicz, 76, of Ludlow, was called home to be with God on Wednesday, February 18th, 2009. Born in Ludlow to the late Walter and Sophie Rachmaciej, she was a faithful communicant of Christ the King Church and belonged to its St. Anne’s Sodality and the Polonia Club. Frances was predeceased by her beloved husband Henry in 1992 and together they owned and operated the former Orchard Funeral Home in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, where they cared for many families and the community for several years. Frances also worked for over 10 years at Milton Bradley in East Longmeadow. She leaves her loving sons; Allen Ochrymowicz and his wife Louise of Indian Orchard and Stephen Ochrymowicz of Maine; cherished grandchildren Matthew and Jeffrey Ochrymowicz of Indian Orchard; caring sisters, Viola Martucci, Stella Ordynowicz, Evelyn Clark and Helen Halgas, as well as her brother Ted Rachmaciej and the late Bruno and Edward Rachmaciej. Frances will be missed by several loving nieces and nephews throughout the community. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20th at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00am in Christ the King Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 4-7pm and in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Frances’ memory to the charity of ones choice.
